MESA, AZ (KPHO/KTVK) - Firefighters used a Fido Bag on two dogs that were suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire at a Mesa home Wednesday morning.

Crews from Mesa Fire & Medical and the Tempe Fire, Medical, Rescue Department responded to the home near Brown Road and Mesa Drive around 9:30 a.m.

Mesa Deputy Chief Forrest Smith said it appeared that a car caught fire in the carport and the flames spread to the attic. He said smoke and limited fire spread to the living quarters of the home.

It took crews less than 10 minutes to put out the fire and no one was injured.

Smith said firefighters rescued two dogs from the home. They used a donated Fetch Foundation Fido Bag to treat Zetta and Jetta.
