FLAGSTAFF, AZ (Arizona Daily Sun) - Adel Lopez, a representative from the Fetch Foundation, stopped by Summit Fire & Medical Department Jan. 26 to drop off a new Fido Bag. He is pictured here with Summit firefighters. Each Fido Bag contains a specialized breathing apparatus that is formed to fit any pet’s muzzle, specialized burn sheets, bandages, rinsing saline, and protective restraints, collapsible water dishes and cuddly toys for pets. The donation was a direct result of the recent structure fire in Doney Park where fire personnel rescued a female dog and her five puppies from the fire and along with Coconino Sheriffs Department and Guardian Medical were able to provide life-saving procedures to the dogs, thereby saving their lives. The Founder of the Fetch Foundation saw posted pictures of this on social media and wanted to provide this Fido Bag as a donation to the Summit Fire & Medical Department for their efforts. This bag will provide the right type of equipment to successfully provide future animal life-saving abilities. The Summit Fire & Medical Department will keep the bag on their first out apparatus.
