SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Crews were able to save two dogs from a Scottsdale house fire Tuesday after responding to a call near Pima Road and McDonald Drive.

Upon arriving on the scene, a neighbor told crews that the homeowners were not home, but that there were two large dogs inside.

Firefighters searched and found both dogs inside the home not breathing. Crews were able to remove the dogs and use Fido bags to help them breathe until they were transported to a veterinarian.

A Scottsdale Fire Department video showed firefighters assisting the dogs after they were removed from the home.

According to Scottsdale Fire Department, one of the dogs is breathing on her own, while the other is still being treated.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
